Oh the December mud
Who doesn't love a good muddy December day? I can think of many years when we did not have snow by now, but usually we don't have mud. I don't appreciate December mud - but it is easier not having snow, I'll have to admit that. No plowing, no shoveling... it is fairly alarming to me that I have yet to wear my winter jacket though.
The animals enjoyed the sunshine we had this afternoon, and soaked up as much of it as they could. They didn't appreciate the mud either, they hate wet feet.
Here comes Barnaby... AKA, "the screamer" I have never heard a goat scream like he does - and I've heard a lot of goats scream.
While the rut has calmed down considerably, and the boys are less hyper, they are still boys. And my handsome man is still pee stained.
Dahlia always has her teeth out. It cracks me up. She has so many different expressions, it's always something. But this particular look always reminds me of something... does it remind you of anything?
I was surprised when I noticed a tuff of hair on Max's side, so I pulled it and realized he's shedding. A lot.
Max: Here give me that, I might need it again later if my plan of skipping winter doesn't work out...
The sunset this evening was beautiful. It was pink and promising another nice day tomorrow.
These clouds remind me of the pattern of turkey feathers...
The wind has come up tonight and it's cold outside. It also clouded up... The fire is roaring to keep us all nice and warm. For dinner tonight, I whipped up some breakfast.
I love these baked potatoes, I season diced potatoes with lots of garlic, seasoned salt, pepper, and the mix in some shredded cheese, some browned onions and diced browned ham and about 2 diced pickled jalapenos... add in 1 cup of milk and some shredded Parmesan cheese and just bake them until they are browned, soft, cheesy and delicious. We had eggs with salsa to go with them.
And because he had a very long and busy day, Douglas is passed out.
I was hoping to see the meteor shower tonight, but as of right now there is nothing but clouds. I'm hoping it will clear up and that tonight or tomorrow night I'll be able to see something... If I'm lucky.

Love to see your kids.
Have a great weekend.
Flavious really does have a winter coat going! Our dog and cats are super furry right now, too!
