Barnyard Sunshine and manure pile politics

Whenever I take a load of used bedding/manure out of the barn, the turkeys always rush over to check it out. They love rooting through it looking for bugs, an oat, a good piece of straw... really, only they know what is worth the effort to look for, but they must find something good in there to eat. Either that or they are easily amused.

I clean different pens each day on a rotation to keep everything running smoothly. So a couple wheelbarrow loads a day come out of the barn this time of year...

Once the ducks see the turkeys doing anything, they right away need to be involved since they have taken it upon themselves to be the leaders of all feathered creatures in the barnyard. The King and Queen if you will.

Me: What are you guys doing back there?

Lou and Dew: None of your business lady!

Lou: Hey, you there! Get out of my pile!

Lou: I can see you... stealing is crime and there will be consequences to your actions!

Melvin: I don't get it, why fight over straw and goat poo?

Me: I think this is a rather good picture of Horace, a perfect Black Welsh wether specimen...

Me: You look so handsome....

Turkey: Hey, what is that???? Is that food??? You got food?

Turkey: Awww man, it's just a camera....

Me: Oh, alright Horace this picture shows your true personality... less GQ, more comic-con

Brie: Oops! I dropped the best piece!!

Max: Ahhh over here, over here... look at me... I need attention!

Max: Yes, I will hold your hand...

Max: If you rub my belly...

Max: oh come on, I need a good full on snuggle!

Max: Who is your favorite boy, come on, tell me...

Max: I know, you can't say... but I believe I already know the answer....

Dew: Hey Lou, that woman is taking pictures of you....

Lou: Well I had better get cleaned up in case she posts these pictures on the internet...

I'm such a mess....

My head is dirty...

Ahh! Look at this spot right here!

These old feathers, they need to be picked out...

Just give me 4 seconds would you!.... I need to finish getting cleaned up!

Alright I'm ready... take my picture now...
