My rain dance worked!
I woke up this morning to the Prairie dog wheel banging as Nervous Nelly ran as fast as she could towards the prairies.
Oh wait, that's not Nervous Nelly.
Nelly was quietly waiting for breakfast.
As I walked down the hallway a strange sensation came over me... I was cold. I had no idea how to react. I actually even had to put on sweatpants! I gave everyone breakfast, and made coffee...
Everyone was kind of sleepy this morning...
I did make my poached eggs, and I'm so glad I had you all craving to have some as well!
I need a little more practice, but they tasted great!
Since late morning it's been pouring rain. It's wonderful, we needed it so badly and it's cooled things off nicely.
It's cooled off so nicely I'm making a stew for dinner. One of those pantry stews, meaning it's got everything but the kitchen sink. Spicy tomato sauce with chilies, ground pork, carrots, cauliflower, pinto beans, broccoli, and a handful of pasta. Impossible to mess up, one of those "can't go wrong" stews.
After we eat dinner, I'll have to pull out the rubber boots and the rain coat to do evening chores because the rain hasn't slowed. I won't complain however, it seems my rain dance worked and I'm grateful for that!
